2010 Ranger 800 XP with a bad trasnmission

I found a very cheap 2010 Ranger 800 XP with a bad transmission that's somewhat stuck in neutral and won't move. The good news is that it's in neutral so I can roll it around and load it up, but my question is if the transmission is even worth trying to save it? I know it's a cvt and I know they're a pain to work on and fix. Maybe consider a swap? The previous owner had no idea about any previous service history or stuff like that he got it as a compensation for some work he did a few years back.

It sounds like a project for sure, do you know if the engine still runs fine? That might help decide whether fixing the CVT is worth it or if a full swap would be more practical long-term

If the trans is toast and you've got zero history, don't waste your time nursing it, just rip it out. Swapping's cleaner, cheaper long-term, and frankly, CVTs are glorified rubber bands with attitude

Yes, the engine runs fine ish. I'm sure something will come up, but for the time being it behaves.

I know, that's why I was kinda hoping someone would mention a swap. What transmission options are available for these?
