'06 Ranger XP 700 not starting

Turns over but wont start. TPS is at .662, it has a spark, fuel pressure is at 35-37. Pump is technically new. Only starts when the fuel pump is plugged. Smells like gas when its running and Im guessing its from under the seats at the back. Anybody know bout what the heck is going on?

If it only starts when the fuel pump is plugged in, its gotta be something about the fuel pump relay, fuse, or wiring leading to the pump. Also that doesn't look like the proper idle position. Try adjusting and see if that's gonna help.

Yeah, you might have a fuel leak! Sometimes a small drip evaporates quickly so you really have to make a careful inspection for any signs of dampness, residue or discoloration. Just be careful when you work around fuel!

Looks like you're dealing with some serious flooding. If the pump only works when it's unplugged and you smell fuel under the seats, you should check for a leaking fuel line or a bad seal in the pump assembly. It might also be a good idea to see if an injector is stuck open. I had something similar happen to mine once, and it ended up being a pinched return line.

I encountered something like that on my old Mule a while ago, it ended up being a cracked line near the tank. It drove me crazy until I finally found it. I really appreciate everyone sharing these tips, they make troubleshooting so much easier

Hmm, if that's the case, I think it might be running way too rich. Do double-check for a stuck injector or a cracked return line near the tank.

Ah, a cracked fuel line could also be the troublemaker. Nice find, and I'm happy those tips were useful when you were figuring things out
