2004 polaris ranger TM 2x4 voltage regulator help

I'm trying to replace the voltage regulator on a 2004 Polaris Ranger TM 2x4, but it looks like the original part has been discontinued. Has anyone found a compatible replacement or workaround for this model? Any advice would be appreciated.
 
You can typically use a universal Polaris voltage regulator that works with 2003–2005 Rangers. Just make sure to match the plug type and output voltage.

Don't give up on finding an OEM part just yet. The discontinued status often just means it's no longer sold by Polaris directly, but they're still out there.
You need to check speciality online retailers, eBay, or even powersports salvage yards. A used, working regulator from a salvaged 2004 or similar year model could be a perfect, direct replacement for a cheap
