My shocks came a long way and I think it feels like it has already served its purpose for me because now... it's leaking oil from the front seals! Well, it only reached 1k miles. Isn't that still quite low? I tried prying in and saw that the IFP is busted but it shouldn't be because it isn't even hit during normal use I don't even wear out my Ranger. So I saw online and realized I wouldn't get warranty for this because even other people had the same issue and they didn't get the support from the company. What's the best thing I can do about it? Should I at least try reaching out to Elka and maybe the situation is different now?

Yeah 1000 miles ain't that high, I think maybe around 1500-2000 miles no company would replace any parts without any cost. All parts manufactured by Bandit are made by the same by the same suppliers for ELka, so yes, you should reach out to them.

1k miles seems to low for a shock failure! That's not normal. It's not on you I guess some manufacturing defect. You can still try reaching out to see if the situation changes for you.

Even if others haven't had luck with warranties, its still worth reaching out to Elka directly like you said.. Sometimes, companies make exceptions or have updated policies. Meanwhile, consider having a trusted shop rebuild or service the shocks to prevent further damage.

I had a similar disappointment with the rear shock on my old 400EX. I hardly got to ride it, and it started leaking right after the break-in period. A lot of people online suggested I shouldn't even try, but I decided to message the company anyway. To my surprise, they offered me a small discount on a rebuild kit. It wasn't a huge deal, but hey, it was better than nothing. So, definitely consider reaching out,you really never know what might happen
