I built a rack for my Ranger 1000 that comes in at around 70 pounds. It actually hangs over the front a bit, which is great since it lets me fit my gun holders right in the front part of the bed. But I've noticed that the bed tends to flex a bit, and that made the Lock & Ride mounts loosen up more than I'd like. To fix that, I used some tie-downs, and that seems to have done the trick
I'm curious though, how heavy are your racks? Do you think having something that weighs around 70 pounds (and probably pushing 110 when it's loaded up) leads to too much movement or could it damage the bed in the long run? I'd really appreciate any thoughts you have on this
